There are comments within the file where to edit the text. In the template 5, index.php file line 104 says CODE <!--EDIT PARAGRAPH TEXT BELOW HERE.--> Hope that helps. |

It shows where text goes, but since most people can't read it they don't get bogged down by focusing on the content. In this case, it's there for you to replace. I'll add just a bit to what Ken Roy said. Here's something about Template 5: http://www.tngforum.us/index.php?showtopic...l=template+text And although this is about Template 4, maybe there's something relevant in it too: http://www.tngforum.us/index.php?showtopic...l=template+text I use Template 5, although mine is modified quite a bit; the index page in particular is reformatted, and I use some custom icons and so forth. Not many other people do use Template 5 but it seems nice to me. If you're new and curious about the different parts of TNG, you could look at my site. It implements to at least a small degree a number of things that most people don't use and so you might wonder about them if you've been looking around for examples of how they work (like timelines and albums). You'd need access to living data to see some of it. Use guest twice to log in. Note that some of what's there, like the guestbook, isn't part of normal TNG. ----- Paul Wake http://www.xmission.com/~wake/genealogy/index.php |

On my site, most of the photos are in the photos folder. However, the index.php page photo is actually in my main genealogy folder (the same folder that index.php is is). Try that, and see if it works.
